Ginger Balizer Hendler is exhibiting her paintings in "The Adventures of Gingerella" at the Pleiades Gallery at 530 W. 25th Street 4th floor in NYC November 26 - December 21. Reception takes place November 30, 3-6pm and December 5, 5-8pm.
Susan Tiffen was awarded Honorable Mention in the Manhasset Art Association. Susan also has two works in the Sands Point Preserve Show House.
Michael Alfano's bronze, life-size sculpture of Matt Scarpati on a bike was unveiled in November. The sculpture is next to the Bikeway in Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, L.I. In June there was a dedication for his life-size, bronze sculpture of the Lorusso Family. The sculpture is permanently installed on the grounds of the Barnstable Historical Society in Barnstable, MA. Lisa Berley is exhibiting in "Personal Visions" in the South Huntington Public Library's Alfred Loen Gallery December 5 through January 8. Reception takes place Saturday December 7 from 2pm to 4pm.
Robert T. Bloom, Photographic Artist, will be presenting a solo art exhibit of his artwork at the Deer Park Public Library during the month of November 2013. Thereafter, Robert’s artwork will be displayed in a solo art exhibit at the Riverhead Free Library from Nov 13, 2013 to Jan 3, 2014. Marlene Bezich was awarded Honorable Mention in the pastel category for "The Old Soul II" during the Wet Paints Members Exhibit in the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale held October 19 & 20.
Susie Gach Peelle* is exhibiting a sampling of her work at the Cold Spring Harbor Library & Environmental Center in November. There will be a reception with Ms. Peelle on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 2-4:30pm and all are invited to attend.
October 5, 2013 to December 30, 2013. The American Artists Professional League selected one of David Jaycox, Jr.’s works in watercolor for the 85th Grand National Exhibition 2013. This juried event will be held online. Sylvia Harnick will be exhibiting work at The Whaling Museum, 279 Main Street, Cold Spring Harbor, NY. The Reception is Sunday, October 6 , 4 - 6PM. She will also be exhibiting work at the Omni Gallery in Uniondale through January 12, 2014.
Barbara Ringewald won first place for fibers at the Gallery North outdoor show. She will have a retrospective exhibit of her work at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library during November and December.
Robert T. Bloom , Photographic Artist, will be presenting a solo artist exhibit at the Smithtown Public Library , LI NY (Commack Branch) during the month of October, 2013. This art exhibit was originally scheduled during the month of October, 2013 at the Nesconset Branch of the Smithtown Public Library. Angela Stratton will be exhibiting 23 paintings in the Huntington Public Library - 338 Main Street, Huntington from October 5 to November 10. Reception: Sunday October 13, 2pm – 4pm.

Long Island Professional Artists Showcase in association with C.W. Post Library Association is having their 5th annual "7 & 7 Painters and Sculptors" exhibit at the Hutchins Gallery, Schwartz Library, C.W. Post College, L.I.U. October 2 through October 31. Reception is Sunday, October 6, from 1 - 4 pm. Paul Bachem* won First Prize in the "Quick Draw" part of the competition at Plein Air Easton! 2013 in Easton Maryland. Paul has won one of the top awards at what is now the largest event of it's kind in the country (over $300K worth of wet paintings sold in two and a half days).
ALLI Instructor Irene Vitale* has had three oil paintings accepted into the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum's “Waves and Watercolors : Sea and Create Art” Exhibit from September 21, 2013 to Labor Day 2014. Irene's acceptance into this exhibit has inspired a new fall class at the Art League titled "Water, Waves and People", starting September 17. Details to follow.
Robert T. Bloom’s Photographic Artwork entitled “Harbor Playground” has been selected by the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum to be included in its “Waves and Watercolors : Sea and Create Art” Exhibit from September 21, 2013 to Labor Day 2014.
Susie Gach Peelle* has been selected as the Town of Oyster Bay's "Woman of Distinction" in the category of Arts for 2013.
Three of Nanette Fluhr's* paintings are part of a six-city national museum tour of American Realist Painting in China. This will be the first tour of contemporary American realism in China, and marks an important moment in the resurgent field of realist painting. The China museum tour opened at the Beijing World Art Museum in September of 2012, and will travel to the Dalien Modern Museum, Hebei Provincial Museum, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Hubei Provincial Museum, and the Shanghai Art Museum. The expected total museum attendance for this tour is over one million people, over a period of 15 months. Nanette along with several of the participating artists accompanied the works to the opening exhibit in Beijing, where they participated in panel discussion.
