Judge: b.j. spoke gallery’s 40th annual EXPO competition will be judged by Francesca Altamura, who has served as curatorial assistant at the New Museum in New York. She has curated and co-curated exhibitions of emerging artists, and has a broad background in art history.
Award: Winners will participate in an online exhibition in March of 2021. We will promote the show and display the winners’ work on the gallery website and social media. We attempt to show several works of each chosen artist. There will be three small cash awards
Deadline: November 15, 2020.
Calendar: The official “show dates” will be March 1 to March 31, 2021. In lieu of a physical reception we will have a zoom party on March 6th for artists, their guests and the public.
Media: All fine arts media are acceptable: watercolor, drawing, pastel, painting, sculpture, mixed media, installation art, photography, video, digital art, etchings, monotype, monoprint, silk screen, lithography, collagraph, fiber art, etc. No crafts, please.
Eligibility: Artists living in the United States and abroad.
Fee: $35 for 6 images and/or 2 videos.
Agreement: Submission of your work to the show means that you are willing to have your work reproduced electronically and in print for all publicity purposes for the gallery.
Size Limitations: Because electronic images will be shown, there is no need for size constraints.
