Amy Tischler

Dare to be MUDDY! Is how I would describe my fun classroom atmosphere for Studio 6. You will have the opportunity to make personalized gifts and handmade/ food-safe dinnerware for your home. I studied at Alfred University School of Art and Design, where I received my BFA in ceramics. I earned my Masters in Teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). I developed those skills even farther when I spent time working as a production potter in Manhattan. I have been with the Art League of LI for 15+ years, I started out as a student taking the portfolio workshop and over the years have taught classes for the Summer Art Adventure in many different mediums, to now being a ceramics instructor. I feel my work highlights the ordinary and utilitarian objects with smooth lines and a new vibrancy.
