It’s an interesting time to be painting now, in the new millennium, because there truly is no bandwagon to jump on, everyone has to find their own cart. These images, like uninvited guests, have crashed the gates of my imagination and refuse to leave until I paint them out. Despite the intrusion, they are always welcome. Without them I’d have no reason to work. Along the way, some become friends, others take advantage of your hospitality-the last to leave the party.”

As a teacher I strive to impart knowledge that comes from 40 years of studio work, grappling with the same problems that my students face, and hopefully giving them some answers. It’s a time honored tradition where experience benefits those with a similar desire to create, with the fellowship of teacher and student in the same boat, or climbing the same mountain.”
