Art League Instructor Larry Aarons is a part of a AdVets for WarVets, a group of more than 40 former Madison Avenue advertising creatives who have come together to create a traveling exhibition titled “America’s War Heroes”. Larry Aarons joins ad legends Jerry Della Femina, Mike Tesch, among many others to share visual and and written stories of war veterans. First shown at the Hotel New Yorker in NYC, it traveled to the Gateway Gallery. AdVets stated: “We’ve created the inspiring 100-piece art exhibition, “American War Heroes.” These oil paintings, line drawings, watercolors and their accompanying stories depict veterans, icons and patriots throughout America’s military history.” Larry’s drawing of Uncle Sam Playing TAPS / Crying as one of images on a new ADVets exhibition honoring our American Hero’s / Veterans. The art exhibition can next be seen in the new American Airline terminal at O’Hare Airport in Chicago starting Oct. 10th.
