COURSE DESCRIPTION

Calligraphy is the art of forming beautiful symbols by hand and arranging them well. It’s a set of skills and techniques for positioning and inscribing words so they show integrity, harmony, rhythm and creative fire. Learn to understand the design of the letters, the tools, repetition and practice to get the hand and mind to work together. Starting with with a sharpened pencil, and graduating to ball point pen and marker. Learn the formation of the letters and practice the main rules of creating wonderful writing - example: angles, pressure, height, consistency, and hand coordination. Observe Instructor Howard Rose demonstrate with a dipping pen and ink. This will be your start to falling in love with the art of calligraphy. Learn about the supplies and the technique, and where you can buy the correct tools and start your journey to loving the art of calligraphy.
