COURSE DESCRIPTION
Photographer Adrienne Catanese discusses the creation of her "Plagues of Egypt" series - a reinterpretations of the biblical plagues through a series of still life tableaux, and her experience working from the confines of a small apartment during several months of pandemic lockdown.
Adrienne Catanese (b. 1984) is an emerging photographic artist living and working in Long Island, NY. Originally self-taught, she is currently enrolled in the Photographic Imaging Program at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood NY. Adrienne holds a BA in Multidisciplinary Studies from SUNY Stony Brook University (2012).
Adrienne's work has been exhibited in group shows, including at The Art League of Long Island, The Port Jefferson Village Center, and in SCCC's Online 2020 Art Students' Exhibition for which she received an Award of Excellence. Adrienne has also been awarded two residencies: Resident Artist Membership at The Art League of Long Island (2018-19) and Artist in Residence at Fire Island National Seashore through the National Park Service.
