John Melillo, Vietnam Veteran/East End Artist, is honored to present at SAC his ART Journey and progression of healing as an Artist! He paints two themes: East End and the Lighter Side of Vietnam. Through a compelling presentation of ART & Video, he will take you through his ART journey where his family heritage settled in 1910 around the corner from SAC and still resides today. These memories have supplied his ART an inspiration he calls a “Tom Sawyer Adventure.” He will share his Seascapes paintings that have evolved to capture his unique experiences of fishing all the waters of the East End and Landscapes he remembers circa 1950. His Paintings Keep evolving and getting Bigger, and he challenges himself to bring the viewer on a journey. He will then bring you through his “Life Goes On Series” Experience, where he paints from the Original Photos he took in Vietnam. You will see his “FLAG” Series Live, which represents comradery throughout the community. Each year, he paints a new flag to describe inspiration. Thank you to all for your service!

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

What a great way to bring the community together a few days before Veteran’s Day. Hear the stories and view this Local Veteran/artist’s work.

SAC will be donating 50% of Proceeds from ART Sales from this Event

for the WWI Memorial Restoration Project in Agawam Park

Village of Southampton.
