Annual Appeal 2021

A day at the Art League is filled with inspiration, friendship and creativity. The best part of our day is when we take a potential student or visitor on a tour to see the gallery and studios. It’s always an OMG moment. Children seeing the magic of clay on the potter’s wheel for the first time are in awe! Jewelry lovers are blown away when they see original creations made by first-year students and the possibilities of what they could make themselves! A day doesn’t go by when someone says to me, “There’s no place like the Art League on Long Island”. I know what they mean when we’ve come so close to losing it.

Thanks to you we’re not losing the Art League. We’re on the way to recovery! Your recurring gift is the single most viable way for the Art League to recover. I’m reaching out to ask you to be as generous as you can to support the 2021 Annual Appeal. We need to raise one hundred thousand dollars in unrestricted funds to support operations in 2022. A balance of earned income from programs and services and your support is what’s needed to recover and sustain the Art League over the long-term.

We cannot say it enough or be more sincere. Your response to the Art League’s appeals for survival support has been extraordinary! We are not only grateful for your support we are thankful for the trust and faith you’ve shown by investing in the Art League when so much was at stake.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and safe holiday season. Thank you for donating online, by sending a check or giving us a call at 631 462 5400 x 222. If you want to make a bigger impact by donating long-term appreciated securities; stock, bonds or mutual funds directly to the Art League, you may be able to automatically increase your gift and your tax deduction. To discuss major gifts please call me at 631 462 5400 x 224.

Warmest regards,

Charlee M. Miller
Executive Director

P.S. There’s a rumor flying around out there that the Art League is closing. You can help by kicking that rumor to the curb where it belongs!
