COURSE DESCRIPTION

Have you ever asked yourself these questions? How do I paint loose watercolor landscapes? How do I create depth in my landscapes? How do I breathe new life into my landscapes?

If so, then this workshop is for you. Negative painting can add amazing depth to your landscapes. In this workshop we will explore the use of negative painting and why it's so important for artists to understand this essential technique. We will clearly define what negative painting is and how to see the negative shapes. You will study the importance of using creative brushstrokes, value changes, and most importantly how to incorporate negative painting into your landscapes. Learn how to paint beautiful washes that will allow you to create depth and distance.

No drawing skills required - all skill levels welcome.
