Jump into the world of watercolors with master watercolorist Ross Barbera. This course is designed for students of beginner or intermediate skill levels in the medium of watercolor. Students will study methods of transparent watercolor painting, and apply these techniques in the creation of their individual watercolor paintings. Instructor demonstrations include lessons on drawing, color mixing, wet into wet, dry-brush, pouring, masking, paper preparation and more. Class projects are designed to cultivate technical skill, visual sensitivity, creativity, and knowledge of painting tools and materials, history, and processes. For subject matter, students will have the option of working from their photographs, or from those supplied by the instructor. This class is suitable for all levels and will provide a fun, informative, and supportive atmosphere for artists of all backgrounds to develop their skills!
