Themes: “Stretchy-Saurus”& "Balloon Animal Extravaganza"
Week 1: RIDE THE WAVE AND STUDY JANE ALDER’S ELONGATED SURFERS, OR DANCE ON THE STREETS WITH DORIT LEVINSTEIN’S SUPER-STRETCHED COLORFUL FIGURINES. LEARN TECHNIQUES IN SCULPTURE, DRAWING, PAINTING, AND MULTIMEDIA TO EXTEND AND WRAP YOURSELF UP AND AROUND BUILDINGS, OR SEE FOR MILES ON YOUR SUPER-TALL LEGS ABOVE THE TOPSY-TURVY EXTRA-TALL TREES. Week 2: FLOAT AWAY IN A WORLD OF BALLOONS. LEARN TECHNIQUES IN DRAWING, PAINTING, SCULPTURE, AS WELL AS WORK WITH MULTIMEDIA TO CREATE A REFLECTIVE STAINLESS STEEL BALLOON EXTRAVAGANZA. STUDY JEFF KOONS’ GIANT METAL BALLOON ANIMALS AND THE UNKOWN MYSTERIOUS STREET ARTIST, BANKSY, “GIRL WITH THE BALLOON”. LIVE ANIMAL EXPERIENCE MATURE ARTIST: PLEIN AIR PAINTING FIELD TRIP-JULY 14TH
