Mature artists will find inspiration through our weekly theme, artist of the week, as well as other non-theme related skill building projects.
Session TWO: July 20-July 31
Themes:“French Fried Cities" & "Infinity Galore”
Week 1: IMAGINE CITIES AND BUILDINGS THAT SOAR TO NEW HEIGHTS, TWIST, BEND, AND ARE UPSIDE DOWN. REIMAGINE THE WORLD OF ARCHITECTURE AND STUDY SPANISH PHOTOGRAPHER VICTOR ENRICH’S “FRENCH FRY” BUILDING. DRAW, PAINT, 3D MODEL, AND CREATE MULTIMEDIA CITIES THAT DEFY THE LIMITS OF PHYSICS. FUNKIEST MARSHMALLOW AND TOOTHPICK BUILDING PARTY MATURE ARTISTS: VISIT THE ART LEAGUE FOR A HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WORKING ON THE CERAMICS WHEEL, AS WELL AS “COSTUME” FIGURE DRAWING-JULY 22
Week 2: STUDY INSTALLATION ARTIST, YAYI KUSAMA’S WORLD WHERE REALITY IS JUST AN ILLUSION. BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK AND SLOWLY REACH OUT TO SEE IF THE OBJECTS ARE REAL OR JUST REFLECTIONS. CREATE OPTICAL ILLUSIONS IN SPACE THROUGH DRAWING, PAINTING, AND MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS. SCULPT AN INSTALLATION STYLE ARTFORM IN A WORLD WHERE WHAT WE THINK WE KNOW, BECOMES A VISUAL PUZZLE.
