Pre-College Portfolio Development Summer Program is designed for aspiring artists looking to refine their skills and build a strong portfolio for college applications. This intensive program offers hands-on instruction in various mediums, personalized feedback and guidance on portfolio presentation. Students will explore new techniques, develop their artistic voice and gain valuable insight into the expectations of art school admissions as well as completing required portfolio projects. 

Week 1: The Figure: Drawing from the Model is a pre-college studio course designed to strengthen students’ observational skills and prepare them with portfolio-ready anatomical studies. Working directly from a live model, students explore proportion, structure and gesture while experimenting with a range of traditional mediums, including graphite, charcoal, pastel and watercolor.
