The Art League of Long Island’s Summer Art Adventure Program 2026 will be offering kids and teens fun and creative activities led by dedicated art education professionals.
In each of the weekly themes, Art Adventurers learn about contemporary and historical art figures, and explore a variety of artistic mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and more.
Our super talented art teachers will give all our artist lots of attention. They’ll be there with assistants to make sure everyone gets the support they need. Let’s make this summer a colorful and playful adventure where we’ll make new friends and become even better artists!
Our classes will have a cool, air-conditioned classroom to work in, and we’ll take breaks outside too. Weekly Italian Ice Parties from Rita’s Ices! Remember to bring a packed lunch and wear clothes that you can get messy in—we’re going to have an artsy time! A gallery style exhibit for family and friends is held at the end of each session. Flexible options allow you to choose one or all program sessions.

Summer Art Adventure age groups include:
Programs for Young Artists, and Mature Artists Mondays – Fridays, 9am-2pm are held off-site in air-conditioned rooms located in the HHH school district (exact location TBD).
Age appropriate projects are geared to expand students’ artistic horizons by improving knowledge and skills.
Young Artists ages 6-10 will engage in a variety of creative experiences, which include developing artistic skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and more. All Young Artists will develop the confidence they need to practice and create art. They will study an artist of the week as well as find inspiration through the weekly theme. Young Artists will enjoy an air conditioned class room and outdoor recess. Bring a bag lunch and dress for an artful summer experience. Students will be grouped age appropriately. All Young Artists will receive individualized attention from our expert art instructors, as well as an assistant in the classroom. Must be 6 years old by July 1, 2025.
Mature Artists ages 11-14 will continue to develop and advance their skills in our 2-week program, offering opportunity to blossom into creative and thought provoking artists. Expert art instructors will help guide Mature Artists toward expressing their innate creativity and prepare them for the next level of study: the Art Leauge’s elite “Pre-College Summer Program.” Mature artists will find inspiration through our weekly theme, artist of the week, as well as other non-theme related skill building projects. They will enjoy an air conditioned classroom, as well as an outdoor painting opportunity and field trip to the Art League studios. Bring a bag lunch. Students will be grouped age appropriately. Parents provide all transportation for field trips.

Draw, Paint, 3d Model, And Create Multimedia Cities That Defy The Limits Of Physics. Week 4: Infinity Galore – July 27-31
Study Installation Artist, Yayi Kusama’s World Where Reality Is Just An Illusion. Be Careful Where You Walk And Slowly Reach Out To See If The Objects Are Real Or Just Reflections. Create Optical Illusions In Space Through Drawing, Painting, And Multimedia Projects. Sculpt An Installation Style Artform In A World Where What We Think We Know, Becomes A Visual Puzzle. Week 5: Arctic Plunge Animal Fest – August 3-7
Take Your Arctic Animal Friends On A Cruise And Lounge On The Beaches In The Caribbean With Your Favorite Polar Bear Or Walrus. Create A World Of Luminescent Color Through Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, And Multimedia. Study The Spectacular Aurora Borealis Color Spectrum Of Kady Lipscombs‘, ’ “Polar Bear” And The Soft Graphic Style Lines Of Lina Langs’ “Floating Icebergs”.
