Dear friends,
We are very much looking forward to spring here at the Art League of Long Island, with wonderful new programs and events happening. There are so many ways to be involved. I would like to continue to encourage you to renew your membership as we are building our benefits program.
We are opening an Artists’ Circle Critique Group, led by instructor Kevin Larkin. Members have access to a free tour next month of the D’Amico House in Amagansett and of the Thomas & Mary Nimmo Moran Studio in East Hampton in April.
Members receive discounts on Try Night fun too. Next month, come for one evening and leave with a complete set of gifts for Mother’s Day – a beautiful pair of earrings and a card. We have a Try Night in the works for creating a gift package for a father figure in your life also. Members receive a discount to this program as well as on our workshops and classes. There are new classes and workshops to try from Felted Landscapes to the Speculative Studio to to a Pottery Practicum with Steven Hill to Still Life Emersion. We have acclaimed artists Antonio Masi, Jan Guarino, and Julissa Llosa joining us this year too! We added 2-D Open Studio time, with a members’ discount as well. Also, members receive a discount when you enter into our exhibitions at the beautiful Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery too. Join us!
Parents! We have a Try It! For Young Artists planned for Sunday, April 19th. Your young artists can experience a session of a painting and a ceramics class. Early bird registration continues through the end of this month for our Summer Art Adventure and Summer Pre-College Portfolio Programs. Register now!
We have some wonderful events coming up this year too! Art in the Parking Lot returns on June 6th. Save the date for the Feast Bazaar on July 25th and a our new Love, Picasso event on November 14th. Information forthcoming.
There’s a benefit to becoming a member no matter how you look at it! Thank you again – to everyone who continues to be a part of our community every day. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Marianne Della Croce
