Dear Friends,
June always brings a special kind of energy to the Art League. As summer begins, our building fills with people creating, learning, reconnecting, and trying something new — and it’s one of my favorite times of year.
We’re especially excited for the return of Art in the Parking Lot on June 6th, one of our most loved community events. It’s a chance to celebrate local artists and makers, shop local artists, and enjoy a day centered around creativity and connection. Events like this are such a great reminder of what makes the Art League special: bringing people together through art.
For families thinking ahead to summer, now is also the time to register for Summer Art Adventure and our Pre-College Portfolio Program. Summer will be here before you know it, and these programs fill quickly every year. We’re especially proud to offer young artists a place to build confidence, develop skills, and explore their creativity in a supportive environment. And as a reminder, Half Hollow Hills residents receive a discount for these programs.
Our gallery is also full of incredible work right now, featuring exhibitions that highlight the range and talent of our regional arts community. I encourage you to stop in, take your time, and spend a little while with the work of George Marinos and CJ Escobar Rodgers. Their opening receptions are on June 13th from 1-3pm.
Most importantly, thank you. The Art League is what it is because of our students, members, instructors, artists, donors, volunteers, and supporters. Your enthusiasm and belief in the arts make all of this possible.
I look forward to seeing you this summer.
Best,
