ANNUAL APPEAL CHALLENGE 2018 – TO OUR STUDENTS, MEMBERS, AND SUPPORTERS,
Everyday someone stops by to tell me how much the Art League means to them. The stories are numerous, heartfelt, and sometimes life changing. You are the reason why the Art League continues to have such an impact on people’s lives and the communities it serves. We are reaching more young children and teens, deepening relationships with public and private schools, and introducing individuals with learning and developmental disabilities to studio art classes. These are just some of the ways your dollars are making a difference.
This year we are asking you to donate as generously as you can to reach the goal of raising $15,000 to expand and renovate the ceramics studio. If one hundred and fifty donors like you give $100 we will reach the goal. Any amount you would like to contribute will make a difference and is greatly appreciated.
The Art League’s ceramics program is the best on Long Island, so much so that we have outgrown our studio space. Our plan is to expand the space into the adjacent studio. Once the construction phase is done, our facility staff will reconfigure the space and repaint. Then we will need some carpentry work, shelving, tools, sink traps, pottery wheels and a new kiln. If you are interested in volunteering to paint or do carpentry work, please call me.
We’re working with a sense of urgency to get this project started before the New Year. With your support we will reach the goal. Please feel free to donate online or call us at (631) 462-5400 x227. Once again, thank you.
