April 2014

March came in like a lion and out like, well a lion. So glad that is over. The unseasonable weather didn’t dampen our spirits at the Art League – so many of you came to the Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE) Facility Tour, the ULAE lecture, Art After Dark, and the Springtime Serenade concert. Thank you for showing your support and being a part of the Art League family.

Please join us in the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery for Franklin Hill Perrell’s benefit lecture titled “Painterly Landscapes from Claude Monet to April Gornik” on April 11 at 7pm. The lecture takes place in the midst of our recently opened exhibit “Landscapes: From Metropolis to Arcadia”, so while you are listening to what promises to be a lively discussion you can admire the wonderful works of art around you.

I am also pleased to let you know Olivia and Harlan Fischer are graciously opening up their home for one evening in June to allow a limited number of people to view their museum-quality private art glass collection. Information on how to reserve your place at this special event can be found on our website at www.artleagueli.org

Spring class and Summer Art Adventure registrations are well underway. If you register your child for Summer Art Adventure before April 25 you can save $25.

As Passover and Easter are just around the corner I wish you all a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter!
