Conversations in Art Group Exhibition

May 4 to May 19, 2019

Conversations in Art
Group Exhibition Presented by the Critique Group of Long Island
May 4 – May 19
Reception: Sunday, May 5, 3:30pm to 5:30pm

The works on display reflect the Critique Group’s passion for abstract and modernist styles of the 20th and 21st century.

The Critique Group of Long Island™ has been in existence since 2009, growing from a perceived need to talk about art with like-minded peers and a desire to maintain the dialogue on an ongoing basis. They are a group of thirteen independent artists, meeting monthly to review their current work, with the common goal of helping each person achieve a higher level of artistic accomplishment. Art practices and professional goals are discussed in the context of art history and contemporary gallery and museum exhibitions.

The Members of the Critique Group include: ENNID BERGER (Founder and Director) (Glen Head, NY); JUDITH ARONOW (Port Washington, NY); GINGER BALIZER-HENDLER (Glen Head, NY); SYLVIA HARNICK (Great Neck, NY); LENORE HANSON (Huntington NY); WILLIAM HAWKINS (Huntington, NY); DEBORAH RUBIN-KATZ (Glen Cove, NY); JOANNE KLEIN (Roslyn, NY); LAURA POWERS-SWIGGETT (Lloyd Harbor, NY); FRAN ROBERTS (Wading River, NY); LINDA RUDEN (East Hills, NY); ELLEN HALLIE SCHIFF (Port Washington, NY); and, JANICE SZTABNIK (Cold Spring Harbor, NY).
