January 2024

Thank you again to everyone who continued to support the Art League of Long Island for the past months.  Without your support, we would not have been able to complete our reconstruction project.  And I know you will be impressed with what you see when you return.

Our Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery is brand new – and those freshly painted walls are waiting for you!  Join in our upcoming Members’ Exhibition and be among the first artists to have your piece in our reopening show.

Our studios are all new as well.  Long and short pose open studios and figure anatomy classes will have brand new lighting features in them.  Every studio has new slop sinks with new interceptor traps.  We have more storage in Studios 5 and 6.  Our studios, once were among the best of the best, and now are even better.  And I cannot wait to for you to see for yourself and to be amazed.  Enroll in our February classes today.

The exterior of the building has been refitted with water management systems from the gutters to the parking lot, from the sidewalks to the inclines, from window sills to exterior caulking.  We have had several heavy rainstorms in the past month that our building has weathered and we have emerged safely from each one.

We reopen in three weeks, and there are so many ways to be involved.  Try one of our new instructors, visit us during our exhibition reception, enroll your child in our Summer Art Adventure program Early Bird Special now available, or attend our Made with Mud, Kissed by Fire event which supports our dynamic Ceramics Department.  Or simply renew your membership or make a donation.

Thank you again – to those who renewed your memberships, those who took an On-the-Move class with us, and those who donated space, products, and time.  We couldn’t have weathered the storm without you, and I look forward to seeing you all very very soon.

Best,

Marianne Della Croce
